Joy riding your VEHICLES/ATV'S on the beach and riding up ESTUARIES / NATURE RESERVES will result in the banning of Jetski's in Natal. Please think of other riders before doing this!
When refuelling, please avoid spilling fuel into the water, as this affects marine life.
Compulsory Safety Features:
15m tow ropeSignalling mirror, Pencil-flare kit, Sea anchor / Drogue, Orange sheet, Water / Cooldrink, Never ride without a LIFEVEST!,
When launching into the surf, always push from the rear handles so that the nose of the ski breaks through the waves. Only start your ski when the engine is deep enough in the water, to avoid blocking your cooling lines. If your engine stops in the surf, hang on the rear handles and surf your ski in, or get another rider to tow you in. Leaving your ski in the surf will result in damage. The rider on the wave always have right of way. Avoid dropping in on other jetski riders! To avoid rebuilding your impeller every weekend, clean out your pump in the water before firing up and don't start your engine after beaching.
To avoid injury to yourself:
Don't ride the shore breakAlways look out for other jetski's, Always lean back when beaching, If possible, wear a helmet and sunblock,
To avoid injury to others:
Don't jump the back of waves returning to the beachAlways look out for people on the beach before beaching, Always lookout for other jetski's,
Many people would like to see jetski's banned. If we keep the above-mentioned in mind, then jetsking at Laguna or anywhere else will be safe and trouble free. If you see reckless riders, please feel free to mention how we do things, after all it's your beach too!
